Kipke Amendment Cuts Permit Fee for Replacement WellsJanuary 6, 2013
Much of Anne Arundel County continues to utilize private wells for water instead of public water. Wells sometimes need to be replaced because they run dry or become contaminated and replacement costs are very expensive.
The Kipke amendment requires that any resident of Anne Arundel County who has to replace an existing water well the permit fee will be reduced by 50%. The fee also covers water testing and well certification. The Kipke amendment passed in 2008.
Section 9-1307 - Applications for and conditions on permits; fees; term.
